Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Regular Cleaning
Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the electrical supply. Use warm soapy water to wash the outer cabinet. Once or twice a year, dust the condenser and the compressor at the back of the appliance with a brush or vacuum cleaner to prevent performance issues and excessive electricity consumption.
Defrosting
The refrigerator defrosts automatically every time the compressor stops. Remove any loose pieces of ice as soon as possible. Upon completion of defrosting, clean and thoroughly dry the interior.
Proper Placement
Do not place bottles and cans in the freezer compartment to avoid bursting upon freezing. Ensure that the appliance is located in a cool, well-ventilated room and that the air openings are unobstructed. Avoid placing the appliance close to sources of heat like boilers or radiators.
Door Management
Check that nothing is obstructing the door; ensure the door gasket is clean and intact to prevent cold air from escaping. Make sure the appliance stands stable with all four feet on the floor.
Energy Saving Tips
Set the thermostat control knob to a medium position for optimal energy use. Ensure the ambient temperature is maintained between 16-32°C for correct operation.
